I can't believe it's Monster Park now.
Four members of the city's board of supervisors have put a measure on the Nov. 2 ballot that would make the stadium's permanent name Candlestick Park, precluding all future sales of naming rights.
"Across the political spectrum, voters and sports fans are fed up with the intrusion of corporate marketers into every part of our lives and culture," board president Matt Gonzalez said in a press release explaining Proposition H. "I doubt voters in San Francisco will want to trade local history and everything associated with Candlestick Park just for more corporate advertising."
