Jon Kleinberg's new Book
In honor of Jon Kleinberg's half-million dollar MacArthur Grant, I picked up his new book Algorithm Design. The first thing my coworker notices is a chapter on PSPACE. The first thing I notice is the discussion on Greedy Algorithms. The chapter starts out with a quote from the movie 'Wall Street': "Greed is.. good!"
Should provide some fun homework.

Ooh, thanks for the pointer to the book, it's going on my wish list.

I wonder if I should start a reading group for this book?

Do you have any recommendations for good computational complexity books?

I do, but you'll have to be more specific. Are you looking for books that focus on computability, or complexity in general?
Algorithm Design looks interesting, but I'm still doing my exhaustive comparison of it with Introduction to Algorithms, Second Edition, which covers much of the same ground and is a more thorough reference (though Kleinberg and Tardos's book covers some things they don't deal with in detail).
