Don't expect Yahoo to come bail you out and don't expect a random piece of engineering (*cough*memcached*cough*) to solve all your problems.
Half of the corners you want to cut today will come back to haunt you. Engineering is the art of determining which half to cut.

so, I was going to comment on how funny it seems to me that the comments on Om Maliks take go way overboard, and how there are even a few that are blatant marketing...
but I clicked on post comment, and blogger took 45 seconds to respond. So I was like, hey what gives? Then I thought about it, and decided that Blogger is probably Web 1.5 (or maybe 1.7), and is probably in that limbo of web versions between availability and scalability.
I kill me.
