DivX -- the highly compressed video format used on many file-sharing nets and websites -- is notoriously hard to get running under OS X. Thankfully, the folks at the Bay Area Anime club (which uses DivX files to circulate "fansubs," foriegn DVD captures with fan-generated subtitles) have produced an excellent primer on getting the format to play on Mac OS X.
