Yet more proof that when it comes to programming languages anything can beget anything else if you just try hard enough, Cocoa#, Cocoa bindings for Mono. OS News has some screenshots and of course the ob./. post: Mono's Cocoa# Underway, GTK# Takes on Windows.Forms.

At work I'm digging in to learn C#. At home I continue to learn Obj-C. Could this be my chocolate+peanut butter?

  • Once an ObjC compiler targets the CLR. PyObjC will be much tastier ChocoPeanutButter until then.

  • Having all but abandoned Perl development (and after years and years, my god it feels good) Python has been something I've been dabbling in for a while now as a replacement.

So many languages, so little time.

  • I've been looking at PyObjC myself.

Is it possible to produce standalone apps using Cocoa#/Mono, and if so are they ungodly huge?
