Web 2.0 Company Generator

Web Two Point Oh!: "Below you will find a pre-created VC friendly Web 2.0 company just for you!"

Apparently my new company is called 'Tripeedoo' and makes 'tag-based instant messaging via microformats'.

I dig it.

Sun's grid: lights on, no customers

From The Register: "Many of you will remember the fanfare and bravado surrounding Sun Microsystems' Sep. 2004 announcement of a $1 per hour per processor utility computing plan. What you won't remember is Sun revealing a single customer using the service. That's because it hasn't."

Google Reader

is live. Awesome job, Wetherell, Shellen, and a few other geniuses who don't like the lime light (or if you do like the lime light, let me know!).

This is another example of Google shipping 20% projects that I keep telling interview candiates about (after scaring them with questions about PSPACE-completeness and balancing AVL trees). I feel fortunate that I was able to see this in the early stages and contribute some feedback (and some code for the original demo long ago. norm.py, I promised you fame, didn't I?).

But dudes, your BlogThis integration needs some work. I will have to send some patches.
